IHG Hotels & Resorts in Atlanta, Georgia, has appointed Mark Sergot as senior vice president, global sales. Sergot began with IHG in 2020 as vice president of global sales operations & enablement. Before IHG, he worked for more than 16 years with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts. He also worked with Associated Luxury Hotels International. The San Diego Tourism Authority has hired Michaelene Sullivan as vice president of sales and services. Sullivan has more than 18 years of experience with Hyatt. Her most recent position was as director of sales and marketing at the Manchester Grand Hyatt in downtown San Diego. JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa has pro- moted industry veteran Vince Waddill to director of event man- agement. He has worked with this resort since 2015 as director of event planning. He began working with Marriott in 1990 and has worked in many different roles in various locations ever since. PRA has hired Ramel Kelly as global sales director. Prior to this position, Kelly worked as executive director national accounts, Northeast at Loews Hotels & Co. In her new role, she will drive sales efforts to North American market, focusing on new business development as well as supporting clients’ needs. CoralTree Hospitality Group in Denver, Colorado, has hired Dorothea Calabrese to their global sales team. She will be handling group and corporate business accounts in the North- eastern United States. Before this, she was the senior buyer for Maritz Global Events in St. Louis, Missouri. She also worked with The Greenbrier, Nemacolin Woodlands and Loews Hotel. The Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau has named Donna Del Gallo as senior regional director of convention sales. She has more than 25 years of experience, most recently working for the San Francisco Travel Association as director of citywide accounts. Before that, she was associate vice president of con- vention sales for the D.C. office of Discover the Palm Beaches. Visit Greater Palm Springs (Visit GPS) has announced the appointment of Will Trokey as national accounts director, Mid-Atlantic. Trokey joins Visit GPS with more than 20 years of DMO and hotel experience. Most recently, he was national sales manager for Visit Charlotte. He has also worked for Omni Hotel & Resorts. Sugar Beach, a Viceroy Resort, has hired Christy Connolly as director of sales. Connolly has more than 15 years of experience.
