Her experience includes working for more than 15 years with Hilton Worldwide Sales. Virgin Hotels New Orleans has appointed Barry Rodriguez as director of sales. An indus- try veteran, Rodriguez has more than 17 years of experience working in hospitality. He previ- ously worked with various luxury destinations throughout New Orleans, including Loews New Orleans Hotel, as well as Windsor Court New Orleans and The Ritz-Carlton, New Orleans. The DMC Network announced the appoint- ment of Margie McCartney as director of global sales. With more than three decades of experi- ence, McCartney’s career includes working more than 16 years for PRA Business Events as global sales director. She will represent the DMC Net- work with a focus on corporate, association and incentive accounts in the Midwest. Virgin Hotels Nashville has hired Shane Fort- ner as director of sales. Fortner brings 15 years of experience. Prior to joining Virgin Hotels, Fortner served as area sales manager for Loews Hotels in Nashville. He also has worked in senior sales manager roles at the Hilton Nash- ville Downtown and the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. Teneo Hospitality Group has appointed Gary Murakami as vice president of sales and indus- try relations. Murakami brings more than two decades of experience, working most recently at MGM Resorts International, in addition to The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts and Hyatt Hotels & Resorts. He will be handling sales originating from the West Coast markets. Salamander Hotels & Resorts has hired Darin Riggio as director of sales and marketing at Innisbrook, A Salamander Resort in Tampa Bay, Florida. Riggio has worked at several hotels and resorts throughout the state, including as resort sales director at Disney Meetings & Events. The Ontario Convention Center & Greater Ontario CVB in California promoted Arlette Garibay to director of sales. Garibay has been with the Ontario CVB for more than 14 years.
