U.S. Hotel Construction Activity Highest Since Last Spring

Hotel construction is up with the number of hotel rooms currently under construction at its highest level since February of last year, according to CoStar’s June 2024 data. The percentage of change since June of last year is more than 5.5% for those in construction, for a total of 157,713 rooms. The change for those in planning up 38.7% for a total of 333,827 rooms. Those in final planning is up more than 9.8% for a total of 266,619 rooms.
