State-of-the-art Dome Expo Centre To Open In The Dead Sea Region

In January 2024, the Dead Sea region in Israel will open the doors to a brand-new cultural event and conference centre, establishing the district of Ein Bokek as a prominent commercial hub outside of the nation’s central cities. The state-of-the-art Expo Dome is situated on the shores of the Dead Sea and will welcome thousands of visitors each year.

The Dome, a spacious complex located inside a huge spherical roof, has been engineered using world-leading compressors that enable the roof to stretch 20 metres in the air. This unique technology enables the roof to assemble through air pressure alone, without the use of any structural pillars. The roof will also be used as a giant elliptical screen, where 24 upwards-facing projectors will be positioned to light up the venue with a dazzling display of projection and pyrotechnics.

The Dome is one of multiple tourism-focused projects underway in the Ein Bokek region where a staggering 4000-hotel room expansion is underway. The Dead Sea is one of the wonders of the world, spectacular in its beauty and a unique destination for healing the body and soul. It is surrounded by beautiful desertscapes, high cliffs and natural canyons and will serve as a unique destination for a multitude of gatherings.
