Meeting planners can bet on a good time at Shreveport-Bossier’s five riverboat casinos and horseracing track. Incentives offered by the Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau and the Louisiana Office of Tourism raises the ante for a successful meeting that gives money back to meeting planners and delivers value to attendees.
For meeting planners that book new business, the Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau reimburses up to $3,000 based on the number of hotel rooms utilized in the destination. The Louisiana Office of Tourism provides a free seafood reception and free local band for the reception.
“We want to make it as easy as possible to meet in Shreveport-Bossier,” said David Bradley, vice president of sales for the Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau. “A lot of companies and planners are hurting after the year we just had, and we want to provide them with value when they bring their group here.”
Eldorado Resort Casino, Sam’s Town Hotel and Casino, Horseshoe Casino and Hotel, Margaritaville Resort Casino and Harrah’s Louisiana Downs all offer variously configured meeting space. Boomtown Casino and Hotel is a great overflow hotel for delegates.
