The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe, the first and only AAA Five Diamond resort in the Lake Tahoe region, located mid-mountain at Northstar California Resort, has revealed plans for the construction of a new lakefront project, Lake Club, The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe. Designed by renowned local architect Clare Walton for the exclusive use of the resort’s guests, the Lake Club, The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe will introduce an exceptional level of luxury service and amenities to the North Shore.
An elegant, multilevel dining and bar facility with panoramic views of the lake, the Lake Club also will allow guests to access an expansive lawn that extends to the water’s edge, direct beach across, and an adjacent private boat pier offering a myriad of summer recreational activities and water sports.
With one of the world’s most beautiful lakes as its backdrop, the Lake Club has been designed to optimize its proximity to the water’s edge, minimizing the distinction between indoors and out with generous use of floor-to-ceiling glass. Large sliding glass panels on the lake-facing rear terrace further reinforce the indoor/outdoor theme and facilitate an easy flow between interior and exterior gathering places.
Artful use of organic materials such as stone and cedar provides a warm, welcoming and sophisticated counterbalance to the clean contemporary lines of the steel and glass structure. A glass-enclosed, external staircase adjacent to the main entry connects to a roof-top dining terrace replete with outdoor fireplace, while on the main terrace guests can gather around the expansive fire pit to take in the spectacular views.

The Lake Club will be available to welcome resort guests in the summer of 2017.
