Atlantis Paradise Island, the iconic destination resort in the Bahamas, announces its championship golf course, the Ocean Club Golf Course, has earned the prestigious Distinguished Golf Destination status with an ELITE designation from BoardRoom Magazine, in partnership with Forbes Travel Guide. This recognition is the most esteemed and valuable accolade a resort, semi-private, daily fee, or public golf course can achieve and highlights exceptional golf courses that exceed expectations regarding the quality of service and amenities, facilities, and the teamwork of the staff and management.

“As the first international course to earn this distinction, it is a testament to Atlantis Paradise Island’s unwavering commitment to excellence,” says Audrey Oswell, President and Managing Director of Atlantis Paradise Island. “Together with the Ocean Club Golf Course team, under the leadership of Robbie Leming, Atlantis takes immense pride in providing guests with an unmatched golfing experience in the Caribbean. The Ocean Club Golf Course offers players and our community a premier course recognized for its exceptional conditions and breathtaking ocean views.”

Globally recognized for its idyllic setting and masterful design, the 18-hole, par-72 Ocean Club Golf Course spans 7,100 yards and is surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean and Nassau Harbour. The course, designed by PGA superstar Tom Weiskopf, has hosted prestigious events such as the LPGA Pure Silk Invitational, the Michael Douglas & Friends Celebrity Golf Tournament, and the Michael Jordan Celebrity Golf Tournament.

The Ocean Club Golf Course is just one of the many signature amenities available to guests of Atlantis Paradise Island, which recently celebrated its milestone 25th anniversary with a bold multimillion-dollar investment. The renovation included the debut of The Royal’s refurbished guestrooms and suites, a reimagined Atlantis Casino, and the new Bar Sol. Atlantis welcomed an array of captivating dining destinations, including Silan, the Mediterranean-inspired restaurant from James Beard Award-winning chef Alon Shaya, and Paranza at The Cove, a coastal Italian restaurant by Michelin star chef Michael White, making Atlantis the only resort in the Caribbean with three Michelin star-rated chef-led restaurants. The resort welcomed the first and only Shake Shack in the Caribbean, offering specialty menu items unique to the Bahamas and a full bar. Perch, a new contemporary breakfast experience at The Cove, is now open.
