Just in time for 2021, Ponte Vedra Inn & Club is welcoming guests and members with 41 new luxurious beachfront rooms and suites, and a significantly revamped golf course. The new rooms recently debuted at Ocean House and Peyton House represent two new landmark complements, and a modern-day interpretation of this iconic property, which has welcomed visitors to its idyllic shores since 1928. For nearly a century, the resort has been the epitome of beauty and refinement, defining true southern hospitality and elegance for Florida’s historic northeast coast.
“It is extremely gratifying to officially open the Ocean House and Peyton House,” said Michael Gordon, vice president and general manager of Ponte Vedra Inn & Club. “Each building provides our guests a safe and comfortable respite, filled with meaningful design relevant and pleasing to today’s traveler.”
At the same time, Ponte Vedra Inn & Club Ocean Course, one of Florida’s oldest and most iconic golf courses, reopened after being closed for renovations over the past year. The project, which was the third major renovation to the Ocean Course in its history, since 1928, was overseen by celebrated golf course architect Bobby Weed, and included significant enhancements to the golf course and the practice facilities.
Modern beachside luxury is now the ultimate lure for guests at the Ocean House and Peyton House. Steps away from the famed Ocean Course and The Racquet Club, the two new, three-story buildings comprise 41 beachfront guest rooms and suites. Perched on a 1.5 mile stretch of the storied and historic North Florida Atlantic coast, each room has sweeping views of the ocean and ample space wherein to relax and luxuriate. These well-appointed accommodations, some featuring room connectors, are designed in a chic, southern coastal fashion that honors the spirit and heritage of this memorable resort. Each room and suite seamlessly extends to generous private terraces or patios that lead directly to the beach.
Located in the affluent oceanside community of Ponte Vedra Beach, Ponte Vedra Inn & Club reigns serenely as the grand dame of northeast Florida’s Atlantic coast. Here guests and members discover a world of elevated oceanfront lodging paired with gracious, attentive service, fine dining and endless leisure, health and beauty pursuits. Spanning more than 300 acres nestled among ocean, lagoon and nature environs, Ponte Vedra Inn & Club provides direct access to seemingly endless exploration, recreation and relaxation.
The property was recently recognized by Conde Nast Traveler in 2020 Readers’ Choice Awards as the top resort in Northeast Florida and 6th overall in Florida. Forbes Travel Guide just recommended Ponte Vedra Inn and Club as one the top 15 Newly Renovated Hotels to visit in 2021.
