Mandarin Oriental, Washington D.C. To Be Renamed After Joining Salamander Hotels & Resorts

According to a statement, the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group has agreed to sell Mandarin Oriental, Washington D.C. to Henderson Park Capital Partners. The sale is scheduled to close on September 8, 2022. As of 12:01 a.m. on September 9, 2022, the hotel will no longer be operated by or branded Mandarin Oriental. The new operator will be Salamander Hotels & Resorts. They said that the Salamander is a “very high-quality operator—evidenced by their double five-star awarding Salamander Resort & Spa in nearby Middleburg, Virginia.”
