New Oceanfront Property Features Virginia Beach’s Largest Oceanfront Ballroom and Over 20,000 Square Feet of Modern Meeting and Event Spaces

Set to open in early 2020, Gold Key | PHR’s $125M Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront Hotel, will bring in a fresh wave of regional business to the oceanfront with all-new, state-of-the-art meeting and event spaces. The property will feature over 20,000 square feet of dedicated meeting space with sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean, providing a comfortable environment for successful collaboration.

As Virginia Beach’s newest meeting and event space, the Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront will consist of 11 unique event rooms including four meeting rooms and one boardroom, with pre-function rooms, multiple event lawns and breakout rooms available. Each second floor meeting room’s namesake is an iconic jazz musician of the yesteryear including Sinatra, Goodman and Fitzgerald. The executive conference center, featuring a meeting room, boardroom and pre-function room will be accessible on the fourth floor of the property for more private, corporate meetings. In total, the spaces will encompass two floors of the 23-floor property. The new hotel and meeting spaces will create the perfect setting for today’s sophisticated business traveler, as well as provide modern amenities and the latest technology.

The Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront will also be home to the largest oceanfront ballroom in Virginia Beach, the Seaside Ballroom, which will boast a 1,155 total seating capacity. Located on the second floor and spanning over 10,000 square feet, the space will provide several configuration options for events of varying sizes throughout the year.

For outdoor events, the Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront will feature both a spacious terrace event area and a scenic oceanfront lawn. Adjacent to the Seaside Ballroom, the Seaside Terrace will span a grand 2,700 square feet and have the ability to house events of up to 300 guests. Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront’s scenic Ocean Lawn is perfect for seasonal weddings, social gatherings or any large event. The 3,750 square foot space can play host to over 300 event guests at one time.

The ideal place to work and relax, the Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront will feature 305 newly-designed rooms with panoramic ocean views, two signature restaurants, bars and a fully equipped fitness area along with an outdoor and indoor swimming pool. Asian-inspired restaurant, Orion’s Roof, located on the rooftop will provide guests with incredible 360-degree views of Virginia Beach and the oceanfront with classic and fusion Asian dishes by world-renowned Chef Hisashi Araki. Complete with a private dining area and outdoor terrace, the restaurant will be the ideal setting for business dinners or corporate events. The Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront will also feature  seaside, full-service restaurant, Tulu Seaside Bar & Grill. Inspired by local fish and farmer’s markets, TuLu Seaside Bar & Grill combines the freshest, locally-sourced ingredients with a relaxed and natural environment for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The hotel will feature 2,400 square foot M Club Lounge, an exclusive space available 24/7 for guests to retreat, recharge and refocus at any time during the day.

The Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront is part of the Cavalier Resort that houses The Historic Cavalier Hotel & Beach Club, The Cavalier Residences and 42 Ocean luxury condominiums that are currently in the planning phase.
