Octavia, Caesars New Orleans’ new center bar and lounge, is set to open later this summer.

Octavia seamlessly marries the grandeur of Ancient Rome with the enchanting spirit of the Big Easy through elegant design and sophisticated cocktails. The octagonal-shaped bar is named in homage to the honorable Octavia, niece to Julius Caesars and an emblem of strength and femininity in Roman history. Octavia’s footprint is also a nod to the number eight, having been revered in history as the luckiest number and associated with wealth, prosperity and success. Octavia, as well as Caesars New Orleans, sit at #8 Canal Street in downtown New Orleans.

Octavia will offer guests an elevated experience, with a 27-seat bar and 136-seat lounge area as well as live music, 19 table games and 60 slot options. The focal point of the 13,500-square-foot room is a $750,000 chandelier that boosts dynamic aesthetics for those guests enjoying artisanal cocktails and fanciful spirits.

“We wanted to create an experience for guests that embraces Caesars’ rich Roman history while highlighting the vibrancy of our home in New Orleans,” said Samir Mowad, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Caesars New Orleans. “Guests can savor craft cocktails at the center bar or relax in the plush seating arranged around the stunning, massive crystal chandelier. For a change of pace, visitors can venture beyond the tranquil atmosphere of Octavia and try their luck on the surrounding slot machines and gaming tables.”

Octavia’s carefully curated cocktail menu features a feminine forward approach to artisanal cocktails inspired by the flavors of Ancient Rome, Paris and the eclectic tastes of New Orleans. From the “Octavia Sour,” a playful twist on a Vodka Sour and the Back O’ Town Elixir, a show-stopping Cafe Du Monde-inspired coffee cocktail, to the Paper Fortune Teller Sazerac Experience, a nod to the iconic beverage of New Orleans, the menu highlights the spirit of the soon-to-be transformed destination.

Octavia is scheduled to open prior to Labor Day. For more information, please visit Caesars New Orleans Hotel & Casino.
