June 24, 2015

Bethesda MarriottThe Bethesda Marriott is undergoing a multimillion-dollar renovation that includes guest rooms, event space, the lobby, restaurant and fitness center.

The newly transformed ballroom and meeting spaces feature a contemporary design bathed in a palette of grays, with modern lighting fixtures and chairs of brushed steel and charcoal gray seating.  The hotel features 27 meeting rooms on one floor and more than 18,000 sf of total meeting space. The grand ballroom has 4,592 sf.

The hotel’s guest rooms went through a total transformation earlier in the year. The guest rooms have a contemporary design with hard surface floors, open closets, walk-in showers and a movable table for those who like to work in bed or on the couch.

The Bethesda Marriott’s restaurant and lobby will be transformed by mid-summer of 2015. The new restaurant will feature mixed surfaces such as reclaimed wood and polished concrete and will serve the freshest local cuisine from the mid-Atlantic region.

The hotel’s new Greatroom lobby will offer guests spaces to relax, socialize and work with friends and colleagues or by themselves. Wi-Fi is free in the Bethesda Marriott’s lobby and is free to all Marriott Rewards members in the guest room as well.

Just outside Washington, DC, in Bethesda, Maryland, the hotel is adjacent to the Metro’s Red Line and is one mile from the National Institutes of Health and Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. This location makes it an ideal hotel for business, group and leisure travelers.
