Aloft and Element Hotels Opening in Boston Seaport Early in 2016

December 16, 2015

A new development is promising to unite Boston’s booming Seaport district and South Boston. Two new boutique-style hotels, Element and Aloft, are taking shape on D Street and will open in early 2016. Meeting spaces in the city that merge business with fun are essential to fostering Boston’s startup culture — a culture that wants the line between “work hard” and “play hard” to blur.

Element BostonDesigned for today’s healthy, active traveler, Element has redefined the extended stay experience with a nature-inspired design philosophy that is clean, modern and bright. Each of the 180 oversized rooms come equipped with a kitchenette, complete with energy-efficient appliances, and modular furniture appropriate for working remotely or recharging after a long day. The hotel’s design takes advantage of natural light, with open, airy indoor and outdoor spaces including a lounge, patio, pool area and fitness center. Element guests will be able to take advantage of the hotel’s signature, complimentary Rise breakfast, with options such as refreshing smoothies, wholesome granola, egg white omelets, fresh fruit, gourmet coffee and more. For those who prefer to make their own meals, the pantry in the lobby will have an extensive selection of fresh and local food items available for purchase.

Aloft BostonNext door, Aloft Seaport Boston will be the neighborhood’s best no-cover emerging music destination where travelers seeking a vibrant social scene will feel at home. The W XYZ bar and lounge will feature fresh cocktails, industrial design touches and neon accents, and host local musicians as part of its weekly “Live! At Aloft” series. Other next-generation extras such as keyless entry with the tap of an app and the ability to sync your own playlist through the included sound system in each of the 330 loft-like rooms makes Aloft ideal for the always-plugged-in traveler. Breathtaking views of the harbor, city and neighboring Lawn on D add to the feeling of being in the center of it all. Companies looking for meeting spaces that blur the lines between work and play will want to check out the Aloft function spaces, offering almost 10,000 sf for meetings and other events, and just across from the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center on Summer Street.
