U.S. Launches Program For Passport Renewal Online

Looking to expedite the time it takes for people to renew their passports, the U.S. State Department has issued a pilot program to renew passports online. Right now, they have reached their limit but will be accepting passport renewals again in mid-October. In the interim, people can still renew via U.S. mail.

President Biden announced this initiative back in December 2021.
