Destination Costa Rica is pleased to share this important information with you for your next trip to Costa Rica. The Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport in Liberia, one of the principal international arrival points to the country, is ready to begin reopening its commercial operations.
This airport, located in the Guanacaste province, has a robust health protocol that controls both the traffic flow of passengers disembarking the plane until they leave the terminal, and the flow of persons entering the terminal until they board the plane.
Protocol guideline for arriving at the terminal includes:
- Mandatory hand washing upon entering the terminal.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Respecting the social distancing markers.
- Compliance with the allowed space capacity established by the Ministry of Health.
- Checkpoints to take body temperature.
- There are signs throughout the flow path in the terminal reminding people to keep distance between others, the protocols of sneezing and coughing, washing hands, and the use of masks/face coverings.
- All service counters have glass barriers to avoid direct contact between passengers and airport personnel.
