Featuring 31 suites and casitas, the new designs create a residential feel. Inspired by the colors of the desert, the chosen palette incorporates burnt oranges, coppers, turquoise and shades of cacti greens with only a hint of neutral tones, suggesting the desert is colorful and providing a sense of place. Highly textural, the desert scape is filled with contrast. Smooth and spiny, fluid and static, neutral and colorful, these various elements served as a basis for design composition. Accent furnishings feature a mix of woods such as walnut and oak creating contrasting geometries through the use of different wood patterns and cuts.
Furnishings also take on an organic influence and are contrasted by modern clean lined elements. Faceted gem-like shapes are used for lighting, as well as some accessories, calling to mind Arizona’s pastime of gem hunting. The design has come together as a modern reflection of our natural desert wonders.
