Hyatt Regency Austin, located on the shores of Lady Bird Lake in downtown Austin, officially announces the completion of the renovation of its meeting and event space. The finalization of the renovation makes the hotel among the largest meeting venues in the city with more than 33,000 sf of flexible meeting area complimented by more than 15,000 sf of prefunction space.
The renovation included the addition of the brand new Zilker Ballroom. The ballroom features a dramatic, two-story atrium, chandeliers, a covered outdoor patio with views of downtown Austin and more. It can be broken down into four separate meeting spaces to accommodate any event.
Along with the completed renovations, Hyatt Regency Austin also announced complimentary, contiguous Wi-Fi access throughout the property. Guests can now access up to 10Mbps of seamless, uninterrupted Wi-Fi service in all areas of the hotel including the lobby, guest rooms, all event and meeting spaces and more.
In addition to the Zilker Ballroom, Hyatt Regency Austin features four additional ballrooms including the Foothills Ballroom, which is located on the hotel’s 17th floor offering panoramic views of Austin’s skyline and Congress Avenue Bridge; the Texas Ballroom, a versatile ballroom with prefunction space overlooking the lobby, the Hill Country Ballroom, which opens into the hotel’s lobby; the Big Bend Ballroom, a junior ballroom that features foyer access overlooking Lady Bird Lake; as well as several smaller event spaces and boardrooms including the Lakeview Terrace, Zilker Terrace, and more.
The hotel provides onsite meeting planners as well as a meeting concierge to ensure the details of each event. It features the latest in audio and visual equipment, relationships with local vendors, as well as a dedicated catering team that plans customized food and beverage options.
Hyatt Regency Austin offers themed events such as “Austin City Limits,” which is inspired by Austin’s iconic music show; “Keep Austin Weird,” which showcases the diversity of the eclectic city; “Eco-Chic,” which features local organic foods and eco-friendly décor; “Taste of Austin,” which provides guests with locally inspired food options.
The hotel also completed a $15 million renovation of its 448 guest rooms. The new guest rooms reflect an urban oasis with music-inspired décor and feature several updated amenities including new 55-inch high-definition televisions, ergonomic work stations, fine linens, complimentary Wi-Fi and more. The hotel added an eight-story parking garage to the property.
